Private Piano Lessons Information

Drummond Studios Curriculum:

I have three piano lesson methods that I use depending on the personality and learning style of the student as well as many other supplemental materials (flash cards, ear training exercises, etc.)

I break my curriculum into four sections, all equally important:

1. Theory – learning to analyze and understand the structure and function of music in different applications.
2. Technique – the physical act of playing with proper execution to avoid injury.
3. Application – combining new concepts with theory and technique.
4. Performance – apply cumulative musical knowledge in a performance setting.

I’ve found these four components, if properly implemented,will allow a student to play and enjoy piano for the rest of their lives.
